@basilolo exactly! why is that so hard for? people to understand???
Instead of ...
Instead of attacking you, I'd rather? give you some information :-)
The swords produced the way it's prestented might seems s**tty, but actually these days you can buy already forged steel, so it doesn't need to be forged again, thanks to what the shaping and polishing is enough to make it really solid.
More precise forging was needed in old days, because steel was uneven and while hammered blacksmiths were able to get evenly carboned (same hardness along whole blade) sword.

Albion swords are far from soulless. I have a few of them, and have handled antique originals. If you want something very close to the original? but don't want to break the bank, then Albion is the way to go. Finest production swords on the market IMO.

It depends on? how its heat treated.
You do know that ...
You do know that the Celts and Vikings had developed steel folding techniques earlier than the Japanese right? The Japanese get? credit for being the first and only ones to do so because in Western culture we still have a sense of mysticism surrounding the "Far East".
However, nowadays our metallurgy has VASTLY improved, so the steel used in this video is probably better than the finest example of folded steel from that era...

I suppose you like to see Peter Johnssons works. He is the one that design the baldes for Albion Swords. He goes to museums, take a lot of measurements and then makes the swords the old way. But to get a sword from him will cost you a fortune and you have to wait a long time for the blade. If you only want a sword that works and don't? care as much about if it's made by man or machine, then you can get a sword with the same feeling but much cheaper.
I don't get half of ...
I don't get half of these comments. Who cares if they're using modern manufacturing techniques? As if making a sword by hand would somehow make it magically better or more authentic. No, Albion Swords are well researched and true to the originals in terms of weight, dimensions and performance and that's what counts! And some of the commenters really need to play less role-playing games and do more research, or even better, handle real blades before you post something stupid.? :P
